We offer the following apprenticeships:
Quality products are made possible by tool mechanics: The skill to handle a wide variety of metals must be learned. Only with this knowledge can high-precision plastic or ceramic tools be made fit for series production. Milling, turning, eroding, grinding . . . These and other machining methods can only be mastered by specialists equipped with technical know-how and maximum diligence supported by state-of-the-art technology. The production and assembly of injection moulds requires a lot of skill, teamwork, and concentration. Our instructors have the appropriate and wide-ranging know-how.
Your profile:
- You have a lower secondary school qualification or higher
- You are interested in technical professions
- You are technically gifted and have a good spatial imagination
- You are committed and diligent in your work
Plastics and rubber technologists ensure that the machines in production are always operational. During the production process, they are the first to carry out quality controls. Plastics and rubber technologists play a key role in the plastics processing industry: they are not only responsible for ensuring that the machines and tools provided by the customer are handled with care, but also bear responsibility for the customer’s product.
In addition to injection moulding, his tasks include the following: setting up the moulds on the machines and troubleshooting, as well as the care and maintenance of machines and systems.

Mechatronics engineers assemble complex systems from mechanical and electrical components. Robot and PLC programming, milling, drilling, grinding, the assembly of switchboards – all this, and more, are tasks of mechatronics engineers in our manufacturing process.
Since the modern working world is shaped by autonomous automatic machines, complex fully or semi-automatic systems are indispensable, especially in mass production. This is how we secure jobs with a future at Sternplastic Hellstern.

IT specialists specializing in system integration implement customer-specific information and communication solutions. To do this, they network hardware and software components to form complex systems. This also includes systematically isolating and rectifying faults using expert and diagnostic systems when malfunctions occur. They advise users on the selection and use of equipment and solve application and system problems. In addition, they create system documentation and conduct training courses for users.
IT specialists in the field of application development design and implement standard and industry-specific software as well as software products. To do this, they analyse and plan IT systems. For example, they expand in-house programs or develop new solutions tailored to the company’s own operational needs. They install software applications, put them into operation and, if necessary, instruct users in how to use them.

Industrial clerks work in manufacturing companies and ensure that the goods being produced are delivered to customers safely and in the requested form. They prepare quotations, take orders and prepare purchase orders and delivery documents for national and international customers. Invoices must be written and everything must be recorded correctly in the accounts. Production resources must be obtained in advance and made available in the required quantities on the scheduled date. Personnel management by the human resources department and payment transaction processing play just as an important role in the commercial sector as the organization of processes withing the company.
